CONDITIONS OF LETTING

 

  1. The use of the premises must be restricted to the use specified on the letting permit
  2. The wearing of footwear likely to cause damage to the floors is not permitted. Persons found wearing such footwear willl not be permitted to enter the premises.
  3. Representatives of the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust shall, at all times, have free access to premises for the purpose of inspection.
  4. The Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking.
  5. The hirer shall be required to pay for any breakages, loss or damage to property arising out of the letting.
  6. The Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust accept liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust or their representatives.  The Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust accept no liability for loss or damage to property howsoever caused.  Hirers must indemnify the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust against any liability or losses incurred by the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust (including its own or other’s costs) in respect of any claim for death or personal injury or loss of or damage to property except to the extent that such death, injury, loss or damage was caused by negligence of the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust or their representatives.
  7. The sub-letting of the premises is prohibited.
  8. Licenses are required for:-                                                                                                                                  a) Performing plays                                                                                                                                  b) “Public dancing, music or other public entertainment of a like kind” under the Local Government (Miscellaneous provisions) Act 1982.                                                                                                                                  c) Games of Bingo                                                                                                                                   Hirers must ascertain from the District Council whether or not a licence is required for these uses, or for any other use to which premises are to be put, and, if so to obtain and ensure full compliance with the necessary licence if the premises are not already licensed.
  9. Intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises without the express consent of the Woodhall Spa Coronation Hall Trust and the obtaining by the hirer of an occasional licence.
  10. Where premises are not licensed under the Cinematograph Acts no inflammable film or materials of an inflammable nature shall be used.
  11. Under the conditions of the Committee’s licence with the Performing Right Society, hirers of the premises are required to furnish details direct to the Society of all “musical works, whether published or in manuscript, performed on the premises vocally, instrumentally, or mechanically, at entertainments for which a charge is made”. Where appropriate a form is enclosed with the Letting Permit that should be completed and forwarded direct to the Performing Right Society Ltd. Immediately after the letting has taken place
  12. When commercial sound recordings (gramophone records or tape recordings) are publicly used an application for a licence to use such recordings must be submitted to Phonographic Performance Ltd. Ganton House, 1422 Ganton Street, London, W1V 1LN
  13. The charge for accommodation includes the use of furniture,within the premises. In the event of the hirer requiring additional furniture a seperate charge will be made according to circumstances.
  14. The hirer will proceed to remove all chairs or other furniture, decorations and any materials introduced into the premises, within a reasonable time after the period of hire.
  15.  Special preparations, such as those required for the purpose of dancing, must not be applied to the floors wothout specific approval.
  16. In the case of fire a previously designated person is to check the building is clear.
  17. Five a Side Football Court                                                                                                                                  a) The hirer must ensure that the use of the court will not prejudice its use for normal letting purposes.                                                                                                                                  b) Full supervision by a responsible adult must be undertaken whilst the court is being used.                                                                                                                                  c) Motor vehicles must not be taken on to the grass court.
